Quinta de Saes Tobias Branco is a low-intervention white wine from the Dão region, made entirely from the indigenous Cercial grape. The vineyards, aged between 15 and 45 years, are planted at 500 meters altitude on granitic soils with clay streaks, and cultivated using organic viticulture with minimal treatments and natural fertilization.
After a few hours of skin contact on harvest day, fermentation begins slowly using indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks without any fining, filtering, or intervention, and is bottled by gravity to preserve purity and character.
On the nose, Tobias Branco offers a delicate bouquet of white fruit, citrus peel, and wet stone, with subtle herbal notes and floral hints. The palate is structured and mineral-driven, with vibrant acidity, generous mouthfeel, and a clean, precise finish marked by freshness, fruit, and herbs. A white wine of finesse and personality — quietly complex, honest, and expressive of its place.
